I had the pleasure of visiting our manufacturer who is based locally on the Gold Coast (only 20 minutes from our office)!
Choosing an Australian based manufacturer was important to us to ensure ethical standards were being adhered to, as well as minimise transportation emissions.
However, actually visiting our manufacturer solidified our decision, as the people and the factory were more than we could have hoped!
Pa is the head formulater and warehouse manager. She is incredibly skilled in formulating and colour matching, and answered all my questions about consistency and different formulas.
Pa's knowledge and work ethic were quickly evident in the short glimpse that I saw in her work flow. She takes pride in her work and her attention to detail is a testament to that!
She showed me a colour she was matching, and while I thought it was perfect, she quickly pointed out minute details that my brain overlooked. Pa truely is an artist in her craft!
She moved to Australia from Thailand 15 years ago, and has been at the factory ever since. That is dedication!
Nikki, our account manager, welcomed me for a (very) last minute tour of the factory with open arms. She provided me with insight into the entire formulation process.
We discussed colour sampling and she was proactive in overviewing potential roadblocks we might face in the future, which was greatly appreciated!
She was incredibly professional and warm whilst showing me all the different aspects of the factory - from formulating to labelling.
Pa isn't the only long-term employee either. Kay has also been with the factory for over 11 years!
I had the pleasure of meeting the rest of the factory team as well. Seeing the quality of work and craftsmanship, as well as putting a face to the emails, was deeply appreciated!
It all starts here. We find a colour we (hope) you love, and send it to Pa for colour matching.
Once Pa is happy with the colour and consitency, she sends it back to us for feedback or approval. This can go back in forth a bit until we get it right!
Once we're all happy with the samples, we initiate production. All hands are on deck to create a recipe at bulk, package, deliver, and ensure q&a!
Because our factory is local, we get to pick up our inventory directly from our manufacturer. We Q&A on our end, then store our polishes so they can be easily packaged for you!
It's not always as easy, but we're grateful we have an epic team to work with!
